Dabaal!

Heylo people!!!! :-) I'm back! Hope you didn't miss me too much...:-D

Been busy, though now if I think back, I have no idea what I was so busy with. School's getting on my nerves. Now, I'm almost happy to be leaving! On the other hand, its very scary knowing that school's over FOREVER. I remember being a little girl, looking at all the people in the 11th and 12th, and feeling that I'd never get there - 12th standard seemed eons away. It seemed that school life would never end. And now, here I am, with a measly 3 weeks left of school life. Sigh...life will never ever be the same again.

The good news is, I've pretty much decided what course I'm going to apply for after I finish my 12th. Any guesses? (and all you cheap buggers that I've told - no saying anything) I chumma submitted an application for the pmpd exam. I certainly don't want to be a doctor, but it wont hurt to just write the exam.

So thats that. I've actually got loads to blog about, but I have tuition in a little while so I'd better get going. Will blog later. Tata!

Much love...

Aditi

I got this in a foward. Quite an interesting read...

The meaning behind my name "Aditi":-

In Hindu mythology, Aditi was the goddess of the boundless sky. Her name means "free from bonds" or "the unfettered" or "Limitless" and the Vedas hint that she was once all-encompassing. She undoubtedly pre-dates them, and was once the goddess of the past and the future, the seven dimensions of the cosmos, the celestial light which permeates all things, and the consciousness of all living things.

Aditi, is called the free one, because in Sanskrit her name means "boundless," and is considered an archaic Mother Goddess, depicted in Hindu, Vedic literature. She represents unlimited space and consciousness, hence infinity or eternity.

According to the Rig Veda Aditi is said to be the wife of Kasyapa or of Brahma, and the mother of the Aditya, under whose constraint the universe is made possible; and she also personifies death because she consumes everything. Aditi, therefore, represents a caution already present in the Vedas about contributing the origin of the universe to a personal agent, such as a god. No other consort is mentioned in literature. She is also considered to be the mother of Hari, and other legends have her the mother of Indra. No human physical features of her are drawn, though she is sometimes identified in the guise of a cow.

Aditi was believed to be a guardian goddess of prosperity and could free her devotees of problems and clear away obstacles. She does not appear in later Hindu traditions Rigved. I, 98, 10 says that "Aditi is the sky; Aditi is the air; Aditi is all the gods and the five tribes; Aditi is whatever has been born; Aditi is whatever shall be born."

Pchang!

Heyo!

Missed me? :-) I had gone to Mumbai with my mommy. Its a really great city. Very different from Chennai. Its so...alive! Had a lottt of fun - met lots of people, shopped a bit, ate LOADS of pani puri (yum! slurp :-D). Now me back in Chennai, feeling nice and refreshed. This break from school and all related work was something I really needed. The weather is beautiful. I'm feeling calm and joyful inside.

Its starting to dawn upon me that there are less than 4 months left for the boards. Yikes! I'd better get to work...especially after my abysmal performance in the first term exams...
Also - I don't have much time left. Have to start making decisions about college...where to apply, what courses to apply for...

As of now I have nothing much to say. Will blog later.

Much love
